CLAT 2026 Results UG, PG Declared: Counselling begins today, merit list out on Jan 7

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially announced the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 result on December 16, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the CLAT 2026 exam can now check and download their results from the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CLAT 2026 result provides the candidate’s sectional and overall scores along with their merit rank based on how well they performed in the CLAT exam 2026. To access the result, candidates need to enter their login credentials. 

The CLAT exam 2026 was conducted on December 7, 2025, across 156 centres in 25 States, 93 cities, and four Union Territories. A total of 92,344 candidates applied for the CLAT 2026 exam, in which 75,009 candidates registered for the Undergraduate (UG) programme and the remaining 17,335 candidates applied for the Postgraduate (PG) programme. Now that the CLAT 2026 result has been declared, the CLAT Counselling Registration 2026 has been started from December 16 to 27, 2026. The first merit list for CLAT 2026 will be announced on January 7, 2026.

Step 2: Now, select the “CLAT 2026 Result” link on the homepage.

Step 3: Candidates need to enter their login credentials to access the result.

Step 4: The CLAT result 2026 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Download the CLAT result and save it for future reference.

CLAT Result 2026: Tie-Breaking Policy 

If any candidate secured same scores, then the CLAT 2026 tie-breaking policy will be applied:

Tie-Breaking for CLAT 2026 UG 

  • Candidates who scored more marks in the Legal Aptitude section will be prioritised.
  • If even that does not suffice, candidates who are older in age will be given priority. 
  • If none of the above mentioned methods works then a computerised draw of the lot would be conducted.  

CLAT 2026 PG Tie-Breaking Policy 

  • Candidates who are greater in age will be given priority. 
  • If that does not break the tie, then a computerised draw will be held.
