The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially announced the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 answer key release date via a press release on December 7, 2025. The CLAT 2026 provisional answer key will be released on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM on the official website. Once the CLAT answer key 2026 is released, the candidates can calculate their scores and estimate their overall marks. Candidates who are not satisfied with the CLAT 2026 answer key can raise objections against the questions or the provisional answer key. The objection window for the CLAT 2026 answer key will open on December 10 and will continue till 5:00 PM on December 12, 2025.
The CLAT 2026 exam was successfully conducted on December 7, 2025 across 156 centres in 25 States, 93 cities and 4 Union Territories. A total of 92,344 candidates applied for the examination this year and there was an increase of 17% in applications. Among the registered candidates, 75,009 candidates registered for the Undergraduate (UG) programme whereas the remaining 17,335 candidates applied for the Postgraduate (PG) programme. Also 548 PwD candidates appeared for the CLAT 2026 exam.

With the release of the provisional answer key approaching, candidates are advised to check the official website regularly, verify responses carefully, and file objections, if necessary, within the given timeline.
CLAT 2026 Provisional Answer Key Challenge Fees
Candidates who are not satisfied with their CLAT 2026 provisional answer key or questions can raise objections against it. To challenge a question, there is a fee that needs to be paid in order to complete the process. Candidates will be required to pay a challenge fee of INR 1,000 per objection. If the objection raised by the candidate is found valid, then the objection fee will be refunded to the candidate, and in case the objection is found to be invalid, then no objection fee will be refunded.
