The Union Public Service Commission has officially declared the results for Combined Defence Services (CDS) 2 examination 2025 on October 10, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the defence exam can check their CDS 2 result 2025 from the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in, online mode. The CDS 2 exam 2025 was conducted on September 14, 2025.

CDS Result: Score Calculation Process
The scores of candidates are calculated as per the process given below:
- For the correct answer in each section of the test, candidates score one mark
- For incorrect response, 1/3 marks are deducted
- In case candidates mark more than one option in the test that will be treated as the wrong answer
- The total score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers
CDS Result 2025: Preparation Of Merit List
The merit list is prepared in the following manner:
- UPSC prepares a list of candidates who get the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam decided by the commission
- Candidates declared successful in the written exam are called for an intelligence and personality test
- Candidates need to secure separate qualifying marks in the written exam and SSB Interview
- The final merit list is prepared based on the total marks secured in the written exam and SSB Interview
- The final selection is done based on their merit subjected to medical fitness and the number of vacancies
