The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CBSE Class 12th Chemistry theory exam 2026 on February 28, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM in pen and paper mode. The CBSE Class 12th Chemistry paper will be divided into five sections: MCQs, very short answer type questions, short answer type questions, case-based questions, and, lastly, long answer questions. The Chemistry theory paper will carry a total of 70 marks, and the remaining 30 marks are allocated to the Internal Assessment.

The next domain is Applying, in this domain, questions will be asked to check whether students can solve problems based on the knowledge and techniques that they have acquired in different ways. Analysing, Evaluating, and Creating is the last domain of the paper, where students will be required to break down information to understand the motive or cause behind it.
