The Central Board of Secondary Education has released a detailed notification regarding submission of LOC for Class 10th First Examination and Class 12th Main Examination 2025-26. Schools must follow the CBSE guidelines while submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class 10th, 12th board exams 2026. The last date for LOC submission for CBSE class 10, 12 exams 2026, is September 30, 2026.
In 2026, CBSE will be conducting two board exams for CBSE Class 10 for the first time. The CBSE 10th first exam will be held in February 2026. Schools are advised to submit the list of all the candidates appearing for the CBSE 10th board exam 2026. This year onwards, CBSE has also mandated linking of APAAR ID of all the candidates appearing for CBSE board exams 2026 class 10, 12.
CBSE Exam 2026: LOC Submission
CBSE has issued guidelines for submission for List of Candidates (LOC) for students appearing in upcoming board exams. Some of the important changes introduced, this year, are as listed below:
- This year, CBSE has introduced two board exams for class 10. Schools are required to submit LOC for CBSE Class 10 for the first board examination, to be held in mid February. As the first board exam is mandatory, the LOC should be submitted for all the candidates.
- APAAR ID of all the candidates should also be linked for LOC data. Schools situated aboard are exempted.
- For the first time, CBSE has given two schedules for LOC submission based on mode of payment.
- However, the last date for submission of LOC and fee payment are same, to avoid confusion.

The following information of the candidates are required for CBSE LOC submission:
- Candidate’s Name
- Candidate’s Father Name
- Candidate’s Mother Name
- Candidate’s Guardian’s Name (if required)
- Candidate’s Date of Birth
- APAAT ID
- Subject Code
- Category (FS/Improvement/ Compartment)
