The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially released guidance for the students appearing in CBSE 10th board exam 2026. From 2025 onwards, science and social science question papers of CBSE 10th Exam 2026 will be divided into different sections. Students must answer the question of each section in the respective sections.
For the Science paper of CBSE board 10th examination 2026, there will be three sections – A, B and C. Section A is Biology, Section B is Chemistry and Section C is Physics. In CBSE 10th social science exam, there are a total of four sections. Section A is History, Section B is Geography, Section C is Political Science and Section D is Economics.
CBSE 10th Exam 2026 is scheduled from February 17, 2026. CBSE 10th Exam 2026: Important instructions
Students appearing in CBSE 10th Exam 2026 must note the following instructions for attempting science and social science question papers.
- Students will divide their answer books in 3 sections for CBSE 10th science exam and in 4 sections for the social science exam.
- They must write the answers of all questions within the designated space for each section.
- Students are advised to avoid mixing their answers in other sections.
- If the answers of the students are mixed in different sections, it will not be evaluated.
- Such answers will not be considered for evaluation even in the revaluation process.
Thus, students are advised to practice CBSE class 10 sample papers and avoid mixing answers in the final board examination.
