CAT Exam 2025: This year, IIM Kozhikode is going to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam. The examination authority will release the official notification, which includes eligibility criteria, registration date, syllabus and several important details on its official website – iimcat.ac.in/. As per the official notification, the CAT 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted from November 30, 2025 (tentative). The Common Admission Test exam is an entrance examination for aspiring MBA candidates.
The CAT exam is conducted in over 150 cities across India. The exam will be conducted in three shifts on a single day. Candidates are advised to check the CAT 2025 eligibility criteria once before applying for the CAT 2025 exam. - Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet the educational requirements to appear in the CAT examination 2026. Candidates with an Engineering degree (B.Tech/B.E.) must have a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates from the SC/ST and PWD categories must have a minimum of 45%. Candidates must note that their degree must be recognised by the MHRD/AICTE.
Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline must have a minimum of 50% marks and candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD category must have a minimum 45%, but the degree must be recognised by UGC.
- Relaxation (Category-Wise)

As per the CAT exam policy, 27% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the OBC category. For candidates belonging to the SC category, a total of 15% of seats are reserved, while 7.5% of seats are reserved for the ST category. Up to 5% of seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections.

The exam conducting authority has not specified any age criteria for those who want to appear in the CAT Exam.

Those candidates who want to apply for the CAT exam 2025 must register by visiting the official website – iimcat.ac.in/. Candidates can check out the link to the application form mentioned on the homepage. After opening the link, candidates will have to fill in all the details in the form carefully, and after submitting the form, candidates will have to upload the required documents such as – photo, signature and some others. At last, aspirants will have to pay the required amount of application fees (General Category – 2500, SC/ST – 1250) to complete the registration process.
