The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode for admission into MBA and other management programmes across top B-schools in India. The official notification was released on July 29, 2025. The CAT 2025 exam will be held on November 30, 2025 (Sunday).
The registration for CAT 2025 will begin from August 1, 2025, and continue till September 13, 2025. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website – iimcat.ac.in. The exam will be held in three slots in a computer-based mode.
The application fee for CAT 2025 is:

The fee is non-refundable and can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
CAT 2025 will assess candidates on Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours (40 minutes per section)
CAT 2025 Eligibility Requirements
To apply for CAT 2025, a candidate must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
- Students appearing in the final year of their graduation (2025–26) are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree with required marks before the specified deadline set by the IIMs.
- There is no age limit or minimum percentage required in Class 10 or 12.
The duration of the test will be 120 minutes. The test will have the following three sections:
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning Section III: Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section, and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
After the closure of the registration window, a brief editing window will be made available to registered applicants. Candidates will be able to edit the following fields in the application form (if required):
This option will be valid only for those candidates who have paid the applicable registration fee and have registered successfully for CAT 2025 within the specified deadline.
Application fees can be paid using credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, or mobile wallets with secure online payment gateways.
A scanned recent passport-size photo, signature, category certificate (if applicable), and a valid photo ID proof like Aadhaar card, passport, or voter ID must be uploaded as per specifications.
As per the official schedule, CAT 2025 registration window is open now.
CAT 2025 will be conducted in approximately 170 cities. Candidates will be given the option to choose five preferred cities.
In most cases, a candidate gets one of their preferred options. In case of high demand in a particular region, the examination conducting body reserves the right to allot a centre close to any of the preferred options. Once a centre is allotted to a candidate, no change is permitted

The application fee is ₹2,600 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹1,300 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
To register for CAT 2025, follow the given steps:
Step 1: Visit the official CAT portal, iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘New Candidate Registration’ option. Enter your details such as full name, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, and a valid email ID.
Step 3: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP to verify your account.
Step 4: After verification, you will get a User ID and password via email and phone. Use these to log in.
Step 5: Complete the form by entering personal details, academic qualifications (Class 10, 12, bachelor’s degree marks), work experience, if any, preferred IIMs and programmes, and select preferred test cities.
Step 6: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photo, signature, category certificate (if applicable), and photo ID proof (like Aadhaar or Passport) in the specified formats.
Step 7: Pay the Application Fee. Payment can be made via debit/credit card, net banking, or mobile wallets.
Step 8: Review all details carefully, submit the form, and save the confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference

CAT 2025 will be conducted on November 30, 2025 (Sunday) in three sessions.
