The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has released the Provisional Answer Keys for the Common Management Test (CAT) 2025 today, December 4, 2025. Candidates who have completed the CAT 2025 exam on November 30, 2025, can check their CAT 2025 Answer Key for Slot 3 (4:30 – 6:30 PM) at iimcat.ac.in.
The CAT 2025 exam was held in three slots at 339 test centres spread across 170 cities in India. Around 2.58 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of 2.95 lakh registered candidates. The overall attendance was approximately 86%. In terms of the difficulty level, the CAT 2025 Slot 3 paper was noticeably more challenging, as per experts’ analysis and students’ reactions.

Candidates who have completed the test are given the option to raise objections, if any, to the provisional answer keys through the objection management link on the CAT website, using their application login ID and password.

Candidates can follow the CAT 2025 marking scheme to calculate their CAT 2025 score using their response sheets and the CAT 2025 provisional answer key.
- +3 for every right answer
- -1 for every wrong answer
- TITA has no negative marking
The CAT 2025 results are likely to be declared by the first week of January 2026. The CAT 2025 score is valid only till December 31, 2026.

CAT 2025 Slot 3 Answer Key: Normalisation Process
The exam conducting body normalises the CAT 2025 scores across three sessions for fairness, adjusting location or scale differences, then sections, converting to percentiles. The CAT 2025 exam has three slots (Slot 1, Slot 2 and Slot 3), with three different question papers. As each slot may vary from each other in terms of difficulty level, score normalisation is adopted for assessment of each candidates performance on a common scale. By doing this, the examination authority will ensure that every candidates is assessed for the CAT exam in a fair manner.
According to experts and students, the Slot 3 exam of CAT 2025 was comparatively tougher than the other slots.
