The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has released the official notification for the Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Eligibility Test (APTET) exam 2026 on June 5. The official notification of the AP TET exam 2026 has been made available on the official website – tet2dsc.apcfss.in. With the release of the APTET Notification 2026, the authorities have started the registration process for the APTET 2026 exam. The online application portal will remain open till July 5, 2026, according to the official notification. The fee for submitting an online application is Rs 1000 per paper. Candidates who wish to register for the APTET 2026 are advised to check the APTET 2026 eligibility criteria before registration.

APTET 2026 Notification: Eligibility Criteria
The APTET exam is conducted for two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper 1 is conducted for candidates who wish to apply for teaching roles of classes 1 to 5, whereas Paper 2 is conducted for candidates who wish to be a teacher of classes 5 to 8. Candidates should know the eligibility factor for both Papers I and Paper II
Eligibility for Paper-I
- Intermediate (10+2) qualification with a minimum of 50% mark in intermediate senior secondary (or its equivalent), graduation, or a postgraduate degree.
- D.El. Ed./D.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification.
Eligibility for Paper-II
- A graduation degree from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher education qualification.
