University of Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad is a premier institution of postgraduate teaching and research in the country. It was established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 39 of 1974) on 2nd October 1974 as a Central University, wholly funded by the University Grants Commission. The University of Hyderabad was accorded the Institution of Eminence status by the Government of India in September 2019. It is ranked 18th among universities category in the NIRF rankings 2025 with NAAC grading of 3.28 out of 4.00. The students are selected through a CUET PG exam 2025.
The Faculty of the University includes 20 Sr. Professors, 173 Professors, 78 Associate Professors, and 129 Assistant Professors. The full-time teacher and student ratio is 1:13.32. This ratio does not include Guest Faculty, Visiting Professors, Adjunct Professors, Emeritus Professors, Chair Professors, etc.
