JoSAA Counselling 2026: For the year 2026, JoSAA counselling registration process commenced on June 2, 2026, on its official website josaa.nic.in. The counselling process is conducted online and is divided into five distinct rounds, ensuring a transparent approach to seat allocation. The registration window will remain open until June 11, 2026. The JoSAA Round 1 seat allocation will begin from June 13, 2026, and the last date to respond to withdrawal query is June 29, 2026. After each counselling round, JoSAA publishes a seat allotment list that details which candidates have been assigned seats at their preferred institutes.
Once candidates are allocated seats, they must complete a self-reporting process at the designated institution to confirm their acceptance. The entire seat allocation is meticulously based on several factors: the candidates' ranked performance in the exams, their preferred choices of institutes and courses, and their respective categories. This systematic approach helps to ensure that students are placed in institutions that match their academic aspirations and qualifications.
