JEE Main 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main Admit Card 2026 on January 17, 2026. All the registered candidates can download their admit card for JEE Main 2026 exam from the official portal- jeemain.nta.nic.in. It is mandatory for aspirants to carry their hall ticket to the exam centre. The JEE Main 2026 for the January session will be conducted from January 21 to 29, 2026, while the JEE Main exam dates for the April session are April 1 to 10, 2026.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026 on January 8. The exam city slip informs candidates about their examination city, so that they can prepare their travel accordingly, and can be downloaded from the official portal- jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA activated the JEE Main Registration Link 2026 for January session on October 31. The application deadline was mentioned as November 27 (up to 9 PM).

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the JEE Main Form Correction Window 2026 on December 1. Applicants can edit their application form by using their login credentials via NTA's official portal. The JEE Main Application Form Correction 2026 window can be accessed by the registered candidates by following the steps below.

JEE Main 2026 registration commenced on October 31. Candidates could apply online for the JEE Main exam 2026 on the official website of NTA till November 27. As per the latest notification, candidates who have completed their Class 12th or its equivalent, or those who are currently in the process of appearing for the examinations, were eligible to apply for JEE Main 2026, provided that they have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

JEE Main 2026 consists of three papers: Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech courses, Paper 2A for admission to BArch courses, and Paper 2B for admission to BPlan courses. There will be multiple-choice (MCQ) and Numerical value answer-type questions as per the JEE Main Exam Pattern 2026. NTA has brought several changes to JEE Main exam in last few years. It is expected that these changes will be applicable this year as well. Students can check the major changes brought to the JEE Main exam below:

Reintroduction of the 75% criteria for JEE Mains: In order to be eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, General/OBC applicants must have a minimum of 75% in their 12th grade, while SC/ST candidates must have a minimum of 65%.

Single JEE Main Application Form at a Time: Candidates can apply for only one session at a time. In the first session of JEE Main, only Session 1 will be displayed, and applicants can choose only that. The applicants will have the option of choosing Session 2 in the subsequent session. Candidates cannot submit more than one application.

Filling of Parent’s Details in Application Form: Candidates must now give the email address and mobile number of their parents or guardians when registering for JEE Main.

JoSAA Counselling

Both JEE Main and Advanced qualified students seeking admission to IITs and NIT+ systems are invited to apply in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority Counselling, or JoSAA Counselling. In JoSAA counselling, there are a total of 6 rounds.

CSAB Counselling
