COMEDK Preparation 2026 requires a consistent and well-planned study plan. COMEDK is an entrance test for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering, architecture, dental and medical disciplines. This examination requires a comprehensive study and structured strategy for preparation.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts the Under Graduate Engineering Test (UGET) and Uni-GAUGE E Entrance Exam. The consortium not only conducts the entrance test but is also a single window for the centralized counselling. Based on the merit in COMEDK 2026, the following courses will be offered by the COMEDK participating institutions.

There are 80 engineering courses and 3 Architectural courses offered by the engineering and architectural institutions of Karnataka.

The COMEDK 2026 application is expected to begin in February 2026. The last date to apply for the examination is expected to be somewhere in March 2026. The COMEDK Admit Card 2026 is expected to be out in April 2026 and the COMEDK UGET & Uni-GAUGE E 2026 Entrance Exam will probably be held in May 2026. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will also release the date for the COMEDK Result 2026. The test score card is expected to be live in May 2026.

COMEDK 2026 Preparation

Candidates preparing for the COMEDK UGET 2026 must formulate a detailed study plan before stating their exam preparations. Preparation for any examination mandates understanding of the exam pattern and the purpose of the examination. Candidates must check all the basic information of the examination including pattern, syllabus, marking scheme, selection criteria etc. This helps in formulating a customized plan for the exam preparation.

• Understanding of exam pattern: COMEDK UGET 2026 Pattern has been released on the COMEDK official website. Candidates must understand the exam pattern in detail and identify the weightage of subjects and topics accordingly. 
• Download the detailed syllabus: The entrance test is based on the CBSE syllabus of Class 11 and 12. The COMEDK Syllabus 2026 includes - 11th syllabus of the academic year 2024-25 and 12th syllabus of the year 2025-26 of the CBSE Board. The syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are given separately on the official website of COMEDK. Candidates can download the PDFs and start their preparation accordingly.
• Create a study time table: A good preparation strategy always requires formulation of a balanced timetable for study. The timetable must have adequate time for all the topics of the syllabus. The equivalent importance to all the three subjects is also mandatory. Additionally, there should be daily, weekly and monthly revision slots. COMEDK 2026 Preparation: Syllabus

COMEDK releases separate syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The important topics for Physics are Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Thermodynamics, Optics, and Modern Physics. For COMEDK 2026 Chemistry, aspirants must focus on Thermodynamics, Equilibrium of Physical Chemistry; Hydrocarbons, Reaction Mechanisms of Organic Chemistry and Periodic Table, Coordination Compounds from Inorganic Chemistry. Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Probability are the important topics from the Mathematics section of the examination.

The COMEDK syllabus is based on the 11th and 12th syllabus of the CBSE Board. Candidates must check the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics NCERT Books for COMEDK 2026 preparation. • Candidates preparing for the COMEDK 2026 must focus on the key concepts. Class 11 topics should be studied thoroughly. They provide a strong foundation for the examination.
• Practice of previous year papers are very important as it helps the students to understand the kinds of problems they might encounter while appearing for the exam.
• Mock Tests help in creating exam-like situations. Time management during the exam can be practiced with timed mock tests. Several online and offline tests must be attempted.
