Candidates who did not get the desired rank or weren’t able to appear for the NTA JEE MAINS exam 2025 often miss the chance to get admission into IITs. Apart from JEE MAINS, there are other exams through which candidates can get admissions into B.Tech courses. Some universities conduct their entrance exams or allow students to get admission via management quota or on a merit basis. Candidates just have to visit the university’s website, or may have to pay a physical visit to the university for the enquiry. More than 180 private colleges/universities are offering a B.Tech degree without JEE MAINS. Also, a few state-owned colleges offer admission into B.Tech courses without JEE MAINS. The only requirement is to meet the eligibility criteria set by the respective private or state-owned college/university. Candidates to remember that taking admission without JEE MAINS can be costly.

B.Tech Admission 2025 Without JEE – Eligibility

IITs always require JEE rank and scorecard for admission in any B.Tech course. Unlike IITs and NITs, some private institutes offer B.Tech courses under management quota or according to merit list. Private universities always have some seats reserved for them as management seats. These seats are allotted on the basis of merit or marks secured in class 12th. The eligibility can be as low as getting just 50% in the 12th standard with PCM, or it can be as high as securing at least 90-92% in both the 10th and 12th standard, depending upon the college/university.
